It should make for a thriller, considering how sensitive the matter is even today with the under-the-bed fears of “dirty bombs” being made from materials that are similar to the plutonium from the missing SNAP generator on Nanda Devi. There are rumors in the area and in certain circles of arm-chair theorists that this is indeed the “truth” beyond the missing device. You can just see the jacking up of the fear index, what could be more delightful, a catastrophe, the Himalayas, heros wandering the back trails,ss treachery, deceipt, sex—-Hollywood will do well here.

Pete, I often brag to other people that I knew you before you were famous. Remembering our misadvenntures, your indomitable spirit, and your dedication to adventure still makes me laugh outloud. Congratulations on your success.
