On Saturday April 7, 2007 Trailridge Outfitters of Estes Park, Colorado hosted their annual “Spring Extravaganza” fundraiser. The raffle, entry fee, and silent auction raised over $1000 for environmental and outdoor non-profits, despite icy roads freezing rain. Wrote Andy Malkiel of Trailridge in an email,

“Thanks again for all your time and efforts on Saturday. Your presentation was awesome. And despite the smaller than expected crowd, we actually raised over $1,000 which we’ll split between Outward Bound and The Snake River Alliance. That was much better than I expected given the crowd size and at least the minimum I would have even hoped for with a full house!”

Kudos go to Andy, the Trailridge Outfitters crew, Estes Park’s legendary eatery Ed’s Cantina and sponsors including, Outdoor Research, Sterling Rope, Trango, Total Climbing, Petzl, Metolius, La Sportiva, PowerBar, Arc’Teryx, Wild Country/DMM, Rock and Ice, Chaco, Patagonia, SIGG Bottles, Alpinist, Vasque, and Erik Weihenmayer.
